5G Network - Cost, Availability, Speed and Importance 5G Network image
Feeling to excited after listening the news of 5G Launch in India?

Well it had been already introduced in several countries even which are underdeveloped than India.

Still there is much excitement and eager among the people of India regarding the use and speed of 5G Network.
Want to grab the information regarding the cost you would be paying for the new network?

OR

Want to know the difference between 4G and 5G?

Well there might be several such questions in your mind regarding the new launch.

But don't worry because in this article you will going to get all your answers with its advantages and disadvantages.

I have also mentioned whether it is worth it to use 5G or to continue with the existing 4G Network only.

So Let us get started with some brief intro regarding the 5G Network.
Introduction
5G stands for the 5th Generation Technology Standard.

It was first introduced by cellular phone companies world-wide in 2019. It's first service was provided in parts of Chicago and Minneapolis on 3rd of April 2019, becoming the first in the world to use 5G Network in 5G embedded phones.

5G Deployment on Map As 5G is the successor of 4G, so its obvious that it would be having higher network speed than 4G but many people are comparing the speed of 5G with Wi-Fi.

Yes, that's true but only when compared with public Wi-Fi. Home/Office Wi-Fi's are still faster than 5G Network.

Regarding the audience, it is expected that 5G Network would include 1.7 billion customers or 25% of the total network users by the year 2025 (prediction by GSM Association and Statista). 5G Deployment Expectations on Map by 2027

Let us have a look about the 5G Network situation in India.
5G in India
5G Network was officially launched on 1st of October 2022 by India's respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 5G Launch in India

India is expecting to get a boost of about $42 billion in their economy through 5G.

The services are being provided by two prominent Internet service-provider of India - Jio and Airtel.

Meanwhile Vi (Vodafone Idea) hadn't announced anything related to 5G yet. But it is expected that they too would be commencing their 5G services in coming weeks or months. Jio, Airtel and VI (Vodafone Idea)

Though India is too behind in the race of implementing 5G Network as there are several countries, even under developed than India such as Sri Lanka and Indonesia, which had started giving 5G service to their citizens.

There are several advanced countries too which have started researching in 6G Network such as China and USA.

You might be shocked but 7G had been introduced and deployed in Norway and Netherlands and their network speed is too high and fast.

Now just think that where India stands in the rank of network in the world as these small countries had deployed 7G Network and India is still about to deploy 5G. 7G

Now let us jump to the availability of 5G Network in India.
Availability of 5G Network
As mentioned above, you already know that 5G Network is being provided by Jio and Airtel only.

As it is a slow process and these network companies are just taking a demo of their network, so the network services of 5G is available only in some big metropolitan cities. 5G Availability in India

Let's discuss about the availability of 5G Network in these cities.

Advantages of 5G Network
Surely as it is the latest and the most developed Internet generation, so it would be having many advantages.

Let us look at it in brief.

1. High Speed - It is the most famous and valuable advantage of using 5G Network. Surely its predecessors weren't capable enough in providing fast internet speed. It usually takes hours to download a movie and we have to watch movies with buffering. But due to the high speed of 5G Network, the problem had been resolved as it is capable of providing 20 GBPS of data. That means we can download any movie in seconds.

2. Latency (Delay) - Another advantage of 5G Network is that it requires very less time to load, thus preventing buffering and delaying, saving our time and maintaining our interest. Unlike 4G or 3G, which requires much time to load, 5G Network would make the browsing easy and comfortable. It would be beneficial for technologies such as AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Virtual Reality.

3. Increased Bandwidth - Increase in Bandwidth is another advantage of using 5G Network. With an increase, it would be easier to send more data over cellular devices and hence would increase user-experience interface.
Disadvantages of 5G Network
As its a fact that anything having advantage would be surely having some sorts of disadvantages also. This is too in the case of 5G Network.

Have a look at it.

1. Slow Coverage - Though 5G Network is quite fast but it availability is quite slow. It is the major drawback in the case of 5G Network. There are limited cities globally which offer 5G services. Though government and many Internet Companies are trying to introduce 5G Network to other parts of the world yet its expansion is very costly.

2. Damaging Battery - As many phones do not have the capacity to run 5G Network and it also requires very high energy, so this would lead to the drainage of battery in phones thus reducing its battery life span.

Less Security - Another drawback of using 5G Network is regarding its less security against hackers. Due to less encryption, it would be quite easy for hackers to attack on you device. Hence there would be a very high chance of cyber attacks on a 5G Network device.
4G VS 5G
As 5G is a successor of 4G, so you can easily conclude that 5G would be better than 4G and would have some other additional features than it. 4G VS 5G

So here let us discuss what are the major additional features in 5G as compared to that of 4G.
Features 4G 5G
Full Form 4th Generation 5th Generation
Maximum Upload Rate 500Mbps 1.25Gbps
Maximum Download Rate 1Gbps 2.5Gbps
Latency 50ms 1ms
Major Features Offers High Speed Handoffs, Global Mobility Offers Extremely High Speeds with Low Latency
Devices High Speed Applications, Mobile & TV High resolution video streaming, Remote Control of Vehicles & Robots
From the above mentioned stats, you might have already concluded which one is better and useful.

Now take a glimpse of the total information you read. It includes when to start using 5G Network and Why?
Conclusion
You might be thinking that as 5G Network is far better than 4G Network on the basis of speed and loading speed. so we should directly start consuming 5G services.

But you might feel shocked to listen that accoring to my opinion, I'll wouldn't suggest you to use 5G now.

Yes its a great networking service to use but there are many factors about why I am discouraging the use of 5G services.

The major factor is as 5G services are limited and the expansion of their tower is also spread to a definite extent, as a result, their prices are too high in the current scenario. High Cost charged in 5G

Apart from this, due to less towers, its speed is also limited and is only available in some major cities of India.

So after a span of couple of months, when their prices will be low and their availability would be ensured all over India, you can surely opt to choose 5G services.

Even in this short peroid of wait, more and more features of 5G Network would be launched and even better and more advanced 5G phones will be launched in cheap prices.

That's all for today's article. Will be back soon with some other blog posts.
